The Florida statutes providers actually get quoted
Two chapters carry almost everything a Florida APD provider is held to: Chapter 393, which licenses the facility and creates the screening duty, and Chapter 435, which defines what that screening is and runs the Clearinghouse. All 47 sections are listed here with the Legislature's own titles.

The chapter APD itself runs on. It defines who is served, licenses the facilities, sets the screening duty for direct service providers, and creates the iBudget system your services are billed under. If a letter from APD cites a statute, it is usually from here.

Chapter 435 — Employment Screening
The screening rulebook every Florida care employer works from. It defines what Level 2 actually means, what disqualifies somebody, how an exemption works, and it runs the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse — including two deadlines most providers have never been told about.
