Care Wizard vs the Free TRAIN Florida Completion Report

The short answer

TRAIN Florida shows you who completed which TRAIN courses, free, from the official source — and for that job it is authoritative and we are not. What it cannot show you is everything that does not happen in TRAIN: classroom CPR, background screening, the annual driving-record pull, the FDLE database check, fire drills, extinguisher service, license renewals. That is most of a license.

This is the fairest challenge to our product, so it deserves a straight answer. APD's own learning system can generate a course completion status report. It is free, it is official, and for TRAIN courses it is more authoritative than we are — those records are the source, and ours are a copy of what you tell us.

The question is not whether it is good. It is what it can see.

What Care Wizard deliberately does not do

  • · TRAIN Florida holds the authoritative record of a TRAIN completion. Care Wizard tracks the date and the certificate alongside everything TRAIN does not cover; if the two ever disagree, TRAIN is the source.
  • · Care Wizard holds no client records at all, and covers Florida APD only.

When Care Wizard is

  • · Most of a Florida APD license does not happen in TRAIN. Screening, classroom CPR, driving records, the FDLE check, and every facility record are invisible to it.
  • · A report tells you what already happened. It cannot warn you about next month.
  • · Per-person, per-home status in one view rather than a list you interpret.
  • · The rule watch, which no report of completions can ever provide.

Common questions

Can TRAIN Florida track all my APD compliance requirements?

It tracks TRAIN course completions, which is authoritative for those courses. It cannot see requirements that happen elsewhere — classroom CPR, background screening, driving-record checks, the annual FDLE search, or any facility record such as fire drills or license renewals.

Is the TRAIN Florida completion report free?

Yes. APD can generate a course completion status report showing which TRAIN courses each staff member has completed, at no cost. For TRAIN courses it is the source of truth and should be trusted over any copy.

What Florida APD requirements are not in TRAIN Florida?

Background screening and the five-year rescreen, classroom CPR and first aid, the annual driving-record update, the annual FDLE offender-database check, and all facility records — fire drills, extinguisher service, CEMP review, inspections and license renewal.
